I was writing inkjet drivers in the 1980's for a proprietary
operating system used in a graphics workstation by a
company (Raster Technologies)  which has long been
consigned to the dustbin of technological history.

Things were a LOT simpler in those days.  I have no
experience in writing drivers in Windoze.
