Very interesting indeed. Makes me wonder if one could minimize some of the problems as follows: 1) In Photoshop, create a new layer. 2) Add noise to taste (if tasteful) 3) Use displacement mapping based on the greyscale values of the original image to shift the noise pixels. 4) Flatten and print in BO. (I hate that abbrev too, but I hate typing more) I'll play with it later. The point is that this would give some image-related "logic" to the noise dots, perhaps reestablishing what "the eye tells."
