My main problem with BO on the 2200 is that I simply don't like the
reddish tone of the epson black inks. I've exchanged prints with
Clayton and I think the results he gets with MIS VM inks are
incredible. I much prefer the tone of his prints to what I get on my
2200. For the same reason I don't really like printing with the two
blacks together, they're too warm for my taste. Of course, all of this
is just my personal preference, your tastes may be different.

I also reccommend you try the iProof PowerRIP demo to see whether that
is something that could work for you. You get little or no metamerism
and beautiful neutral black and whites. I love the output I'm getting,
while Matthew here found the dithering slightly too coarse, but since
you're considering BO printing I think it's possible you could like
the results.

You may be interested to know that Lyson will announce both cartridges
and a CIS system for the 2200 in early march, and I'm pretty sure
others are going to make announcements soon as well.
