I don't own a 1280 but on my 2200 the (matte) black is apparently the only ink that DOESN'T have metamerism. Here's a question: Inks are pigments in a vehicle. I own a collection of stone-plate lithographs that are about 100 years old and they have no metamerism and don't even appear to have faded/shifted much in the last century. How come they knew how to make stable metamerism-free inks back in 1895 and a high-tech heavy R&D company like Epson can't do it?
