I found that it is easier for me when I use the keyboard.

* Press Ctrl+Tab (Windows) or Control+Tab (Mac OS) to move forward 
  through control points on the curve.

* Press Shift+Ctrl+Tab (Windows) or Shift+Control+Tab (Mac OS) to move 
  backward through control points on the curve.

* Use the arrow keys up/down/left/right to move the selected point.
