Digital BW, The Print

I've been trying both Black Only and MIS-VM with Paul Roark's curves 
on my 1280.  I like the results both show but MIS-VM does seems 
smoother although it prints a little darker.  The dots in the BO 
print are very small and you have to be very close to see them 
however I can see some very small faint banding in the light gray 
areas.  I've tried printing with high speed on and off and did a 
nozzle check (no problem) but it's still there.  Any suggestions on 
getting rid of them?
