Yes I have had the same problem. It really only happens with the last inch or so when I try to do a big enough print to cover most of an A4. As a solution I don't take the picture over a curtain size, not the ideal, but what to do. A while ago I had the same problem with some picture on my Epson stylus 1290 colour set up, but only printing A3, never solved that ether. I know my answer is not of much help, but in support you are not the only one with this problem.
