I am an image purist!  Just because someone else got them wrong along the
way, and I have to fix them, I find modifying curves (in only selective
areas as need be) to be a far more "pure" approach.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
