My Personal observation.  You can see a difference up to 480 DPI. 
Anything less than that isn't as detailed and
sharp as it is at 480 DPI. This especially true with very tiny text. 
We're REALLY picking nits here, the
difference between 300 and 480 is VERY small, but is noticeable.
