I just installed a NMC CIS system on my 1280, and as mechanically inept as I am, it was easy and works great. Anyone thinking about this system can easily install it. I switched from epson OEM to MIS archival 6 color, using the DDblack. Using the color cal profiler, I am able to print beautiful full color, but no such luck with b&w images. I had great results with the OEM dyes, but these inks are a different animal. Any suggestions on settings. With the color profile where full color looks good, the b&w image is very dark, slightly posterized, and rather green looking. Using the color controls when you customize PRINT, if I set the colors at the selenium settings Cyan 2, Magenta 10, Yellow 20. the image looks pretty good, but there seems to be a hint of cyan in the lighter areas, that I wasn't getting the the OEM dyes. Cutting back on the cyan or adding magenta isn't helping much. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I am burning thru paper with my testing. I am printing on LPM. Thanks! David
