To all on my email address list : I received the following email and, checking, the file was in my C:\windows\system32 directory .... A virus has been passed to me (a grey teddy bear in my 'C' drive) and since you are in my address book the chances are that you have it too. Please follow the directions below and delete it. It is sent AUTOMATICALLY by messenger and by the address book WHETHER OR NOT you send emails to your contacts. It sits on the drive for an unspecified time and then sets to work and damages the system. It is not detected by Norton or McAfee antivirus systems, and it obviously avoided my PC-cillin antivirus software!! The virus is called "jdbgmgr.exe. Here's how to delete: 1. Go to Start/Find/Search 2. Select File/folders and type in the name 'jdbgmgr.exe 3. Select "C" drive plus any other hard drives you have 4. Click "Find Now" 5. The virus has a teddybear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe (DO NOT OPEN IT!!!) 6. Go to 'edit' on the menu bar and chose "Select All" to highlight the file without opening it. 7. Now go to "File", select delete and send it to the bin IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS - AS I DID - CONTACT ALL ON YOUR ADDRESS BOOK SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT.
