Please End Thread: Virus, or Spam?

2001-08-02 by mwesley250@earthlink.net

Bob,

You are correct. It is the SirCam we have been receiving but I
believe the Red Code attack is also in progress today aimed at net
servers. I got the two mixed together. Sorry about that.

Still, everyone please, please update your anti-virus software and
check your systems. Its the only way to stop the crummy things from
spreading. As everyone may have noticed the web has been very slow
today with posts taking a very long time to appear. I believe it is
due to these viruses and everyone's e-mails about them.

To cut down the traffic let's cut this thread off here. If you still
have questions about the virus, please e-mail Antonis or me off list.
The more messages we send, the more we inadvertently assist the
perpetrators of this virus in achieving their goal to slow down the
net.

Thanks for the information, Bob.

Hey, as long as you dropped by, sit down and rap awhile.

Martin
