I would recommend the 3000 if you can afford the extra ~$500 (v 1160/CIS) and can wait longer for prints. It will let you keep doing 16x20s, and although its slow with piezo I've had fewer problems with it than I have with my 1160. The last revision of the piezo driver fixed the banding issues on the 3000. The 1160s seem to have a ton of problems with clogging. I personally haven't experienced this, but the arm of my CIS is always falling down. The 3000 is not great with feeding heavier papers (>250gsm or so) like Orwell or Torchon, but I can't get those thru my 1160 without banding either, although others report they can. --- Anton Young antonyoung@... > From: "Steadman Uhlich" <steadmanuhlich@...> > Reply-To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com > Date: Fri, 21 Sep 2001 10:51:33 -0500 > To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Subject: Re: [Digital BW] printer recommendations > > Susan, > > Why not just upgrade to Piezography version 6.0?
