Soren, I had EXACTLY the same problem with Eboni black ink. I threw it away and went back to Enhanced black. Now, I can't get the inks to load in my new CIS system. In 3 of the chambers, no ink goes into them at all. I've just about had it with CIS systems. I've spent thousands of dollars on inks, CIS systems, and have precious little to show for it all. Only a couple times did the CIS systems work really well, and both those were on an 1160 printer, when they lasted over 6 months without hassles. I do have a Generations 4 color inkset on a 1280 that is working just fine, but on the black only CIS systems, nothing but problems, usually bad vacuum, banding, stripes, clogs, etc. I think I'm extremely close now to just throwing in the towel and waiting for a professional printer that is actually MADE for black and white printing. I don't need a second 1280 for epson color inks, so will probably try to sell it. Using the original epson cartridges, There's no problems at all. I'm currently a very disgruntled CIS user, having had 3 bad ones in a row now. However the current one isn't even hooked up to a printer yet, and I can't get the carts full of ink.
