I was really excited about the swappable print-heads when I saw the 
Canon at Piezography's booth at PMA a few weeks ago too.  Sounds like 
a great solution - black and white AND color from the same printer!!

Talk to Canon and/or anyone who's tried it though (for a long period 
of time anyway) and you'll discover uncorrectable alignment problems, 
tons of banding and a voided warranty.  

Epson dead - No Way!!

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
