Digital BW, The Print

I unboxed my new Epson 2200 Printer this week and have been busy making test prints and figuring out the complexities of the beast. I plan to use the printer almost exclusively for black and white printing.

I have a large quantity of PhotoRag paper here (left over from Piezography printing on my 1280) I would like to use with the 2200. However, only Epson papers appear for selection under the print space profile or on the advanced properties dialog page. I get pretty good prints when I use the Epson Watercolor media pick to print PhotoRag paper but this strikes me as more luck than science.

Is there a PhotoRag profile available for the 2200? If not, has someone come up with a simple procedure for creating a profile for non Epson papers by trial and error? I do not want to plunk down several thousand dollars for profiling software and devices.
