Barrett, one of the machines I routinely use to beta test IJC / OPM is a lowly 8500 running 9.1 and "upgraded" with a dual 601(?) chipset from a 9500. Slow but stable and a good way to use old hardware for printing. As long as there is enough RAM for IJC (it likes approx. 110MB), it runs fine.
