John,

Last week I was fiddling with "find edges" to try a better sharpening
approach... Thank you so very much for putting the pieces together, this is
a great technique. I did not know of your "Deadman's Custom Sharpen" think
I'll go thru your site and "read" rather than "look".   :-)

I have had success with the highpass filter technique, but I use "soft
light" rather than "hard or overlay".. but I am always using a layer mask to
paint out the skies and other smooth areas.
