Re: OPM black banding

2003-04-01 by grdglass@aol.com

Antonis and Frank:

Antonis, I tested with black-only through the Epson driver. No banding. Is
it possible to test a black-only profile through OPM without having IJC?

Frank, where are you with your Matte Black cartridge, level-wise? Your
description of the problem is good -- looks like thin scratches in black
areas but not all black areas of an image. I haven't had time to check with
a densitometer, but I would bet that the black areas without bands are less
than 100% black. Under a loupe, the bands are actually a series of dots. I
have it throughout my 100% patch on a step wedge, nowhere else. I have no
banding with Epson or IP 5.
