If I am not in the proper forum to post this question, I'd appreciate some direction. My issue is with my Epson 2200. I'm using the Ultrachromes from MIS with a Macintosh G4 duel processor. If I use Epson Matte I get great prints with accurate color rendition. However, trying to use Epson Premium Glossy or Epson Lustre gives me a majenta or green cast on the print. In 0S9.2 the cast is green. With the OS 10.2.4 I get a strong majenta tint. As a wet darkroom printer of color photographs I know that by adding green you should reduce or eliminate the majenta. But no amount of fiddling with filtration alters the outcome! I finally called Epson tech and I was astonished at what they told me. They said they were aware of the issues. I asked what solution or workaround they had. The answer was "none"! The tech told me in maybe six months they might develop a driver to take care of the situation. "maybe....might"! Now get this: The Epson Tech referred me to Colorvision and said they have a solution. Visiting the Colorvision site revealed that the "solution" involved spending perhaps another $500! Perhaps I am naive but it seems Epson is committing corporate rape here and I feel victimized! If you have any observations, I'd very much appreciate hearing them. Is there a fix here or do I have to spend the extra money? Grateful for your consideration
