RE: [Digital BW] new printer & MIS VM inks

2003-04-16 by Alessandro Pardi

Hi Richard,

my 1160 never saw OEM inks until just recently, when after a few months of
inactivity I used them to bring it back to life. I started with a MIS FS set
and had no problems at all. I think you should keep the OEM carts to use as
an extreme measure in troubled times (hoping they never come, obviously :-).

Subject: [Digital BW] new printer & MIS VM inks

Hello,

after reading all about Ebony ink for last few days here I would like
to ask you question. I have new epson 890 printer and going to order
MIS VM inks and fill empty cartridges with it.
Do I need to do something special to avoid any possible problems
before I put those filled cartridges to the brand new printer?
I am referring to some of previous posts here talking about some
potentional problems when new printer is not used first with epson
original cartridges and also some posts about Ebony inks which I
understood is delivered in MIS VM set in pure black position.

Thank you very much for your advices.
