I did a little digging with Gretag MacBeth's profile editor and found that the profiles in the RIP(that I checked, I didn't check them all) were CMYK profiles, not RGB. I dropped it at that point due to not having the time to investigate/troubleshoot further. Don't know if this would have anything to do with the message you're getting but I found it interesting.
