Greetings From Sunny Liverpool (sorry, it is actually hosing down).. Having read a lot of this/these recent messages it seems that old arguments about ethics are always going to surround "manipulation," regardless of the form or the means or the intention of the image creator.. Essentially what I mean is that if we are trying to create images that are 'our images' as photographers, we should endeavour to be open about how we have gone about producing that image. Just because we have used Photoshop, a computer, an inkjet or whatever.., shouldn't detract from wether the picture works for its creator. If excessive manipulation is used then that is a matter of opinion, regardless of it being pixl or darkroom based...
