Alex, Matte black should be use in place of photo black when printing on enhanced matte paper or watercolor paper. Photo black on other surfaces such as glossy and semi glossy. With the 2200 I like enhanced matte, but it is a matter of personal choice. You need to try the different surfaces and decide which suits your work best.
