One more factoid about the "straightness" of Ansel Adams' photography... he didn't always stop at tonal corrections. For example, from a picture of the Sierras at Lone Pine he removed a large "LP" from a foothill, probably put there by the local high school as they tend to do in small western towns. I believe he spotted it out of the prints rather than by darkroom manipulation. Can there be any doubt that he'd have used the Photoshop clone tool if he'd had it? Harry
