I would take a look at www.bwguys.com (Sundance Inks and R9 software). They have a new Septone ink set and a RIP, Pixel Pixacasso, that uses a single black ink, 3 warm-neutral gray inks and 3 cool-neutral gray inks. With the software you can select the Low, Mid and High percentages of warm to cool ink giving some really fine results and an incredible variability of hue. You might want to contact them and see if you can get a sample. The samples they sent me were really gorgeous. When they get it together for the 2200, I will probably jump in that direction.
