I have been monitoring this group for about 2 weeks now. I have learned a lot from you folks. I just purchased 2 Epson 1200 photo printers. I will setup one as a dedicated B&W printer for MIS Ultra-Tone inks and the other will be dedicated for MIS GP Archival ink for color printing. My question is for those with experience using many different types of paper/ink combos, what is the best paper match for these 2 setups? When I did "wet" printing I used Ilford Galleria in luster and glossy with selenium toning. I would like to get that same look with the digital images. My color work was with kodak F surface paper but I think based on subject matter I would like to have the luxury of using Glossy, Pearl(luster) and Matte surface. Also I am a little confused about software for the MIS inks and the 1200 printer . Do I need to purchase Color Management software for both of these setups?. I would appreciate any feedback.
