Digital BW, The Print

You are looking for the holy grail in BW inkjet printing - i.e. printing on
photo rather than art paper. The inks you've got are ideal and the only way
forward. Be aware that there are two types of glossy-type papers. One
designed for dyes where the ink is supposed to go in to the paper and one
for pigs. Ilford Classic papers are for dyes, their 'smooth' papers and
epsons 'premium' papers for pigs. Are you in the US or UK? Silverprint has a
book with example of printed images on a variety of papers for you to see.
There are papers from the US 'pictorico film' (sp) which others have
reported as being good. Brightcube semi matte was an amazing paper IMO -
they've gone bust but I thinkt he paper is still available. Many suppliers
(inkjetmall, silverprint, inkjet goodies) etc sell demo packages.
As to software - I use my own RGB curves. Not advised for a beginner I also
gained 4 kilos on much needed 'comfort food' with the frustration and used
200 sheets of Photorag in the process. Many report good things with the IJC
software - I've not tried it, but I'm salivating at the prospect of a PC
version, also bwguys have what looks like an amazing piece of software but
you'd have to convince them to include profiles for your inks.
Just like wet work you are going to spend a fortune testing.
