Hi: My name is Phil Wayner, I am the one who wrote the Kodalith film question. I am sorry that I did not sign my name , this was my first post to this forum. As for using Kodalith film, I am a retired pro with over 64 years of photographic experience, and have used Kodalith in the manner you wrote about, Tom. I have also done sabbatier work with Kodalith using as high as eight generations to make registered tone line prints. But my question stated that the Kodalith only had one density, maximum density, thereby making it an extremely high contrast negative capable of only producing black and white on the print. Just so you do not think I am just an old fuddy duddy I have been into computers since 1984. I have taught photography for over thirty years, at present have 18 students in the US and several foreign countries. Still photographing using 35, 2 1/4, and 4 X5. Have a complete darkroom including analyzer, densitometer, controlled temp water supply, an Omega 5500 with a register carrier, and a Thomas safelight. I process B&W, color negs, slides, Ilfochrome, color neg and slide prints, also make slide copies. My last job was as a medical photographer in a hospital. I hope this makes up for my lack of signature. Thanks for the response. Phil Wayner
