Digital BW, The Print

I am about to remove a NoMoreCarts CIS from my 1160 and install a new
one.  Can I use the flush cartridges without reinstalling the blue
covers?  I assume I can, but want to do this right...
Thanks for any help!  I'm going from the original Piezography BW inks
to the Piezotone Selenium with Portfolio Black.  I write that choice
with trepidation, since the selection is now so very complicated and
it took me forever to decide on these.  Wish me luck, y'all!
