With dye ink you will have no trouble with either system, even in
arid/high altitude conditions- except I have some, even with OEM Epson
carts!!

It's the pig ink that is one or two orders of magnitude more
difficult. But say if you live in Florida there will be vitually no
diff. Here in high up arid Colorado, go CIS or better, no CIS at all
but carts.

Your choice should depend on where you live and what ink your using.

Now the new Ultrachrome based ink may be different. My 2200 with Epson
carts may not do the best b&w, but at least I'm not clogging up every
12 hours. Amazingly, I've only had to run about 7 cleaning cycles tops
in six months. My 1280 with Epson inks in it has to be unclogged by
turning it on and running cleaning cycles about once a week or more.
With winter fading the humidity has risen and even the 1280 is almost
behaving itself now. But if I have these problems with an Epson cart,
imagine what I've been going thru the last 2 1/2 years with CFS/ CIS
/pig inks.
