Somerset photo enhanced is/was one of the earlier coated watercolour papers for inkjet - many of the "old timers" here have used it for quadtones. it's still a very good paper. In many respects it is fairly similar to H Photo Rag - it is possibly a tad warmer and has a little more texture. Photo rag may also be a touch crisper. It has a very nice look to it though. Probably because PR prints so close to Epson Enhanced Matt that you can use EHM for proofing, whereas Somerset Enhanced just needs a little tweaking. I think what generally happened is a lot of people switched to photo rag when it came out and have stuck with it. I still use it every now and then. I did a show about 3 years ago with Somerset Enhanced and the standard MIS quads. I still have those prints around and they still look great. two or three have been on my wall (and I recently saw one on a wall at a friends) and they have stood up to the window light well. tim
