I have recently purchased some VT Blax inks (rebranded MIS, as they are part of the same company) and have run into some problems; they might be me expecting too much from the inkset but I will ask anyway. It seems that some prints when I print them out are missing some tones, and this is causing almost polarisation of the image. I have printed them out on an 1160 with a quad-tone VT Blax set and there doesn't seem to be a problem. This is the frustrating part; when I do a nozzle check it is fairly good with only a couple of lines missing (1mm on maybe one of the six patterns), when I do the purge it is fine when I print out the images they are not correct. I regularly clean with IPA and water cleaning cartridges. I have taken the printer back to Permajet to see if they can find fault and funnly old thing it worked fine! Is there a problem with the file? I have posted a couple of 300dpi images at my site and would appreciate it if anyone with a 1270 with MIS/VT Blax could try printing them out and see if they cause any problems on their set up.
