Digital BW, The Print

Hi,

Has anyone done any comparison testing of the various free or
low-cost drivers for 
Epson printers?  I'm aware of Epson (obviously), Gimp Print, Quadtone
RIP, 
Piezography/R9.  Any others? OPM/IJC isn't available for my printers - although I 
think I've talked myself into a new 1280...  (I'm using 1200, 1270 printers.)

I've had mixed results so far with Gimp Print and Quadtone RIP. 
Sometimes 
sharpness seems superior to the Epson driver, sometimes tonality is
equal, usually it 
is coarser.
