Another point... Nikon has a long history of making lens multipliers to extend the range of your lenses.. Why have we never seen the obverse...? i.e. lens adapters to allow older lenses to reduce the objective end output to a size commensurate with the reduced size chips,,, Theoretically that would allow one to use lenses at their "traditional" 35mm factor focal lengths.. Or has Nikon decided the only way they CAN make money is by selling NEW glass?
