With my Epson 860 I've gone back to the Lyson Quad black ink set, as I need to print glossy 10" prints for reproduction and to give clients. After using the Lyson Small Gamut, I feel the Quad Black set gives very subtley better results in terms of an actual photo grain and smoothness of tone. Of course the Small Gamut does allow you control in trying to get rid of the metamorph, which is the major downside of the Lyson Quad Black: it shifts very noticeabley magenta under virtually any light source. Question: is there a glossy paper that may inherently be a colder more blue/black tone in itself? I've tried Canon Pro Glossy which is very warm, Epson Premium Glossy which is similiar to the Canon but not quite as magenta, and the Lyson Pro Glossy which was similiar to the Epson in magenta cast (and expensive).
