Todd, AT least the metamerism is in keeping with the light source. Cooler under a cooler light, warmer under a warm light. Since the time I spend viewing my prints is 99% under artificial light, I am inclined to go with what looks good under those conditions. I think you are right about batch-to-batch consistency. It would be amazing if there was not some variation. Otherwise why would all the big color labs and prints invest in all the elaborate color calibration. It is an essential part of quaitly control. We are just going to have to wing it I guess and make individual image adjustments on the fly. Just like silver printing. If you give the tinting a try we will be curious as to how it goes. Martin
