oh definitely, my fascination with tweaking has been declining
radically the last few years.

Some of the things I'm playing with have variations between channels
other than just tonal. That's as much as I'll say about that. But it
requires working the individual channels in PS and multichannel out
through to the printer obviously. This limits me to 4 since (assuming
rawCMYK gets fixed) CMYK would be the only current option. 
Assigning ink tanks to a number of channels in PS multichannel mode
would be taking this to it's logical extreme, but I'm afraid having
that option would put me in the hospital.
