That Beige G3 can handle IDE/ATA drivesof most any capacity. Maximum RAM capacity is 768mb, which about what you should put in it for this work, IMO. An, yes, it *will* run OS X, though perhaps not with the same sparkle and snap as with a faster Mac; the good news is that it's easily upgradable in terms of processor speed. - Barrett
