I managed to install OS X onto a low-end beige G3, but it was extremely frustrating until I discovered the magic trick. It turns out that I needed to update the firmware on the machine's scsi controller, and once I did that it all went very simply. It was only by dumb luck that I googled across a mostly japanese article about the fix and was able to pick out enough english/geek words to make an educated guess. I can't speak to whether it has enough horsepower or not, but it certainly *should*. You might just have to be a bit more patient. g.
