Neutral B*W prints on an Epson 2200

I have the Epson 2200 and I love it, but I cannot seem to get the neutral B&W prints I 
am looking for.  I have looked on the web for many different approaches, but none 
seem to be perfect...i am using Mac OS 10.2.6, and PS 7...Thanks
