Rick, This is the first I've heard about a sharpness issue with the Polaroid SS4k scanner. I had one for 6 months, and didn't have a sharpness issue at all. Is there a chance that it might have been your scanner, and not an issue with this scanner in general? Also, unless you're scanning slides (and even if you are in most cases) the dMax of the SS4k should not be an issue. Regards, Austin
