I believe I've done a mischief to my 1160, and wondering if anyone may have a solution ? After running the old Piezo inks in my 1160 for several years with a CIS, with persistent slight micro banding all the while, I thought I would reinstall the Epson color carts to see if the banding would go away. I pulled out the Piezo CIS cart, installed a set of flushing carts, and ran a cleaning cycle and "printed" a flush page. Piezo black ink came out for several inches. I put the color carts in, and absolutely nothing printed. Not one smudge. Upon closer inspection of the flush carts, I realized they were old and dry ! Seems like I ran the heads dry. Oops ! : ( I parked the heads overnight in Windex. No good. I pushed Windex through the heads with tube and syringe. No Good. I I pushed Piezo inks through the heads. No good. Is my trusty 1160 toast ? Should I be trusted with a printer ever again ? Thanks in advance for your help ! Tom Salyer Miami www.tomsalyer.com
