Hi, I'm trying to set up an epson 3000 with USB connection to a Mac running OS-X. I have printed successfully with the piezo B&W plugin with piezotones. Now I would like to try the QuadToneRIP. I have downloaded and installed the recent GIMP and Ghostscript and QuadtoneRIP. I edited the ink descriptor file to change the name to match the printer name in my printer list (QuadTone_3000) and successfully ran the install quad.tone profile and install quad tone curves. Both programs seemed to run okay. Now inside photoshop I have a black and white file. Here are my questions: 1) How do I proof the file? Normally I will use a profile for printer/paper combo and soft proof here. 2) When printing to I need to convert the file to grayscale as with the piezo B&W plugin? 3) Under the printer feature settings basic menu do I select the matte paper or premium photo inkjet paper ( i will use hahnemule photo rag 308) 4) Do I select quadtone inks or 4 color standard When I try to print I also am experiencing a problem where the print center menu says "no pages found" and the the image file drops out of the pick list. What could cause that? Thank you in advance for your help. Eric Hiss
