Hi,
I just ordered a refurbished 2200 printer from the Epson web site (
$549.00 including USB cord and free shipping!) and will pick it up
tomorrow.I have read about newly installed Epson printer driver and
profiles interfering with previous ones. From 1 PowerMac I will be
running 3 printers,
Epson 1280 CIS system MediaStreet Plug-n-Play color inks in bottles
Epson 1280 MIS system CFS UltraChrome inks for black and white ,using
Roark profiles
Epson 2200 Epson cartridges
on one
Powermac G4 773 mHz ,1.5G memory OS 9.2. with
3 interior hard drives
40G Maxtor ATA 5400 rpm ,single partition
60 G Maxtor ATA 7200 rpm partitions of 19G, 11G ,5G,many 700 mb
18 G Quantum SCSI 7200 rpm,single partition
1 exterior 120 G GVP (ClubMac house brand) partitions of 60G ,40 G,15G et
al
There is still lots of space on the 120G firewire HD to store the
contents of all other hard drives while reformating and rearranging .I
also have
an OS 10.2 installation disk( but havent used it.)
Photoshop 7 installation disk
So ,what would be an OPTIMUM ARRANGEMENT for all this?.I wouldnt mind
restarting to a different drive,OS or another copy of Photoshop to avoid
potential conflicts and confusion.I HATE software and driver problems!
The most fun I ever had with my first Epson ,a Photo 700 printer was the
day I finally gave up on it ,took it outside ,raised it above my head
and slammed it hard into the driveway! What a great sense of relief. The
1280 s have been very reliable so far,but I fear I am heading into
dangerous waters with this 3 printer setup .
Thanks in advance .
