I have both Win2k and XP Pro; XP Pro was my only choice on the new
machine because there were no Win2k video drivers for the video card.
Prefer WIN2k.  Firewire and USB 2 work just fine in WIN2k.   WIN2k is
leaner; takes up less disk space, which is a consideration when making a
backup image if you have a separate partition just for your os and
programs (recomemended).  Networking is friendlier in Win2K if
networking different versions of Windows.  If you have an older
computer, use Win2k.
