I don't know if the 900 uses the same basic driver as the 1280 or 1290.
Epson typically has smaller versions of the 13" printers that do, indeed,
work with the same curves as the larger models.

The curves are printer specific, however, and mixing your own inkset and
writing curves is not a trivial matter.  You'd probably save money in the
long run by getting a printer that is supported for the inkset you want to
use.

Hi there

A brief question for my first posting.  I have an Epson Stylus Photo 900
and I'd like to make some high quality B+W prints on it.  I found the MIS
site, which doesn't directly support it.  However, the T009 cartridge that
the 900 uses is the same as that for the 1270 and 1280, which MIS does make

a simple as using that cartridge int he printer and all will be fine?

As another option, if I get an empty cartridge (ARC-T009-EC ) and one of
the 6-tone hextone ink set refills, can I simply make my own?  Or is there
more to it than that?

Or are there high quality B+W cartridges for the 900 out there somewhere?
