Digital BW, The Print

I am getting an annoying fine pattern in the prints, which renders 
them useless. Depending on the image tone it is under, it's easier or 
harder to see. I have checked the printe head alignment utility to be 
certain that it's ok, and the paper thickness lever too. The nozzle 
check is also ok. What else couldd it be ?
