Heath, For unfortunate historical reasons, the quadtone (1160) and hextone (1280) UT ink positions are NOT the same. The toners are in the magenta & light magenta positions in the hextone printers. The toner is in the yellow positing in the quadtone printers. The single quadtone (Y-position) toner is the same as the dark magenta hextone toner. The lightest gray ink is in the yellow position in the hextone printers; it's in the magenta position in the quadtone printers. The same light ink is used for both systems. The cyan is the same in both types of printers. Paul http://www.PaulRoark.com ___________________________________ I'm getting ready to buy a set of ultratone inks and will be sharing a set of bottles with someone else. I have an 1160 and he has a 1280. Does anyone know if the C, M, Y positions are the same ink for both of these printers? I was just going to buy a Hex set of bottles but want to make sure I can use the C, M, Y inks for the 1160. Thanks for your help.
