The 1280 is not a serious printer except for short term stuff. The 1280 uses dye inks that can fade in 2 weeks, fade as in turn VERY brown, I have seen it happen, unless you pray over them. Sort of irresponsible if you are ever going to sell them. Also, beautiful blacks can be obtained with the 2200 and ultrachrome inks---I have seen that too. Also possible to get poor blacks. A vendor demonstrated them to me when trying to sell me a 2200.
